AMAGON (NES/NINTENDO) AKA TORSUZEN! MACHOMAN (FAMICOM)

Back in the day, I thought Amagon was the most difficult NES/Famicom game of all time, and it still is (one of those lame 1-hit/lose a life games), but has grown on me in the past couple years.
