Unlike the majority of true crime cases made into films (like the lame BEYOND-bullshit love story Dahmer, starring Jeremy Renner), Freeway Killer (late 70's-early 80's serial killings in California), starring Scott Anthony Leet is the closest I've seen a true crime film not only get close enough/nearly identical to the truth in the script without getting too graphic, but Leet delivers a scary and believable performance as William Bonin - ringleader of his two accomplices, Vernon Butts and Kyle.
Most other true crime stories made into movies makes me just roll my eyes, but this one was worth a viewing, or three times already, like myself.
