is what disco singer Sylvester requested when looking for two background singers to record and perform with, and he got em! Two Tons O' Fun.......
Izora Armstead and Martha Wash, the latter being the voice of 90's hit singles by C+C Music Factory and Black Box, among many others. As disco was winding down in the early 80's, the couple released two of their own albums and hit club singles before evolving into the less amusing group name "The Weather Girls" and their hit novelty single "It's Raining Men", probably the most boring single to come from the disco era.
I would have stuck with the name "Two Tons" because it means something: "We're enormous, get the hell outta the way!"
R.I.P. Izora and Sylvester.
