IMO Ian's most effective performance as Sidious/Palpatine. Even with the whole Vintage Collection/Phantom Menace 3-D action figure fiasco, Episode I kinda grown on me at the time and I didn't even see the 3-D release in the theater and Episodes II and III in 3-D were 86'ed in favor of the new trilogy.
