Muffy has played a weekend-long April Fools Day prank on one of her college friend guests, with her other friends participating as the one-by-one disappearing "victims" throughout the film.
At the end of the intense prank, everyone parties and gets wasted and when Muffy retires to her bedroom, she finds that somebody left her a gift on the bed: a jack-in-the-box she once had as a kid and seen in a childhood flashback earlier in the movie........
