Cindy Birdsong had to take maternity leave after recording vocals with Jean Terrell and Mary Wilson on the Smokey Robinson produced Floy Joy LP in 1972. She didn't want to be on the LP cover, so her new replacement Lynda Laurence done the photo shoot, including one with Robinson on the back cover.
Lynda's first show with the group came at a bad time - they had a gig in Hawaii and Jean was ill and couldn't perform. Miss Laurence had to learn Jean's leads and choreography within a week's time, and Cindy was able to fly in and help out Mary, since she already knew the routine, anyway.
This live recording of their 1970 #1 hit "Stoned Love" with Lynda Laurence singing lead is the ONLY known recording from this show. If the complete concert with Lynda filling in for Jean Terrell ever surfaces, I'd love to hear the entire thing.
Most fans either love or hate Lynda - to me, she's a "shouter", like that Lorena Porter from Klymaxx (from their Solar Records LP's), and that's a huge plus in my book! I'm pretty much a fan of all 8 official Supremes equally but I gravitate more to the 70's configurations. And Lynda looked and sounded like a "70's Supreme".

A while after leaving The Supremes in 1973, Lynda recorded vocals on the novelty disco hit "Disco Lucy" (a discofied "I Love Lucy" theme) by the Wilton Place Street Band.
