Before Vinnie replaced Ace Frehley in KISS for a couple years, he was in Dan Hartman's group around 1979 and before that was with a group called Treasure. After KISS, Vinnie formed The Invasion with Journey frontman Robert Fleischman and future Slaughter founders Mark Slaughter and Dana Strum.
Apparently Vinnie is an extremely difficult person to work with.
