I don't own the original Kenner Sandpeople figure from 1978ish but have seen it up-close and the face of this one looks a lot like the original (compared to a 90's version of Ponda Baba/Walrus Man VS. the Kenner original, looking nothing alike). The Tusken Raider's were in a podracer scene from Episode I/The Phantom Menace but no figures to my knowledge were made in the 1999 figure line. These were released in the 2000 Power Of The Jedi line, the following year. No soft goods, but nice to have if you're an "army builder".
