CASSETTE DIGITIZING: DAN HARTMAN'S "COUNTDOWN"/"THIS IS IT" FULL LP MEDLEY [1978]

When I'd looked for the Instant Replay LP on CD at the local record store in Grand Prairie, Forever Young Records, maybe four or so years ago, and was told it was currently out of print.  So I had to settle for a used copy of the cassette.  And now, I believe, the album has since been RE-reissued LOL.  Not sure on that, but it would save me from having to bother with digitizing the rest of the album!

The cool thing about this LP and the two promo videos I know of ("This Is It" and "Instant Replay"), playing guitar for Dan and his group was none other than Vinnie Cusano AKA Vinnie Vincent, who replaced Ace Frehley in KISS in 1982, and then later formed The Invasion with Mark Slaughter and Dana Strum.  Before this gig, Vinnie was in the 70's group Treasure, who released a self-titled LP, and had also written some music for that lame show Happy Days.  Ugh.

Normally Vinnie's shredding and killing a guitar solo, but as a guitarist on these two back-to-back performed cuts, he's pretty damn subdued here playing with Dan Hartman's group.

Released 1978
[Note: as a 45 RPM single, "This Is It" was the single and "Countdown" was the flipside.]
