LIVE GAMING: JUNIOR PAC-MAN [ARCADE 1983]

Because of the unusual side-scrolling and much larger maze, I'd never get too far in Junior Pac-Man on the coin-op arcade - case in point, the game I played last night, the first in at least several months.  The home versions, like Atari 2600 and 7800 were much easier.

Unlike the moving bonus fruit in Ms. Pac-Man, the bonus toys for Junior actually makes the pellets larger as it moves over them, slowing Junior down as he eats his way through the maze and making it easier for the fast ghosts to catch up with him.

This one was somewhat common upon its' release compared to the rare (and unlicensed) half arcade/half pinball Baby Pac-Man game.  Even though Junior has been released on home gaming systems over the years, Baby Pac has never gotten a home gaming version on any system.

When the Hanna-Barbera Pac-Man cartoon came out, only Baby Pac was part of the Pac-Family, but Junior and Super Pac-Man were later added to the cast.
