A 2-in-1 mix I'd made earlier this year, featuring Gino Soccio's most famous hit "Dancer", with my personal favorite by Soccio, "Love Is". Allegedly he's one of Prince's influences, and you can tell by both of their funk-disco styles in the late 70's.
I'd compare Soccio's "Dancer" to Prince's mostly music/very few lyrics "Sexy Dancer" from his 2nd LP Prince, from 1979.
